On the west side of Okanagan Lake, just a short drive off the Coquihalla Connector, Peachland is one of BC’s most appealing destinations for homegrown and international visitors alike. A gem in the late summer when fruit trees are in bloom and the Okanagan Valley’s vineyards are filled with sunshine, our easy-to-reach location between Kelowna and Summerland makes this part of British Columbia ideal for an early spring trip or a cozy winter getaway.
Peachland offers relaxation, activity, romance and family fun in abundance – it’s the ultimate choose-your-own-adventure vacation spot. We love it here, and we want you to enjoy our home just as much as we do, so we’ve put together a list of local treasures (some well-known and some well-hidden!) to make your visit truly special.
There are plenty of ways to relax and switch off in the Okanagan, and getting out in nature is one of the best. Dip your toes or take a refreshing plunge at Antlers Beach or Swim Bay, and watch the salmon swim upstream at Hardy Falls in late summer, all just a 15 minute drive from Peachland RV Park.
Hiking is another rewarding pastime in our neck of the woods, and rightly so with breathtaking views of the Okanagan Valley as a reward. Just minutes from our campground you’ll find Trepanier Way Regional Park, with its powerful waterfalls and views down to the lake. Ideal for a morning or afternoon walk, it’s just a 3 minute drive or a 2 km wander down Trepanier Road to the trail head.
Just a few minutes further is the Pincushion Mountain Hiking Trail. With spectacular views and beautiful scenery, you won’t regret donning your walking shoes after taking in the scenes across Okanagan Lake. While you’re up there, see if you can spot Rattlesnake Island to the south, where legend has it the local lake monster Ogopogo lives in a cave!
If you’ve been to the Okanagan before, you’ll know all about our renowned vineyards, and if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat! Local wineries are a highlight of this area, whose cool climate and unique terroir grows award-winning wines and attracts visitors from all over the world. With delicious ice wine, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling (to name just a few) to taste, you can choose a patio to sip in style. To plan your route, see a list of our local Peachland and Summerland wineries, or consider joining a winery tour.
And now for our favourite part – fun and adventure! These memorable activities will make your stay to the Okanagan:
